York SU Elections: Alcuin Committee's Endorsements
Simon Edwards with Owlcuin

Alcuin College Committee has voted on the candidates they feel are best-suited to addressing the issues faced by members of our College community.

Union Affairs Officer - Simon Edwards

Simon has been a proud member of Alcuin Committee since January 2023, passionately volunteering his time to enhance college life in Alcuin to this day.

From running Freshers' film nights, to representing Alcuin round the table at Heslington Hall, Simon has consistently been an instigator of positive change; elevating students' views from the common room to the boardroom.

Activities Officer - Ellie Jarman

As RollerSoc president, Ellie helped Alcuin Committee run a roller-disco event in Freshers' 25, one of our most popular events!

Ellie is passionate about unifying communities and providing opportunities and encouragement to try new things (we certainly noticed this last Freshers' Week)!

We think Ellie's involvement with over 26 different student groups makes her an ideal candidate to empower York's 220+ student societies and projects.

We encourage all students to read the candidate manifestos and make an informed decision on who they'd like to run their Students' Union.\
