Head of Sport

The Head of Sport oversees sports within Alcuin College. They work closely with Sports Team Captains and YUSU to make and manage sports bookings for courts, pitches, and other York Sport facilities.

They also work closely with the treasurer to ensure that sports bookings are within the college's sports budget. The sports budget is made up from the revenues of sports memberships, and it's the Head of Sports' responsibility to ensure that team captains are encouraging their members to purchase the annual membership.

The Head of Sports represents the college committee on:

• College Sport Meetings
• College Council
• Other Committees as requested by the University or York SU

The position holder should be able to check their email at least once every 24 hours, or provide adequate notice when this isn't possible.
